Darwinbox asked us to bring Charles Darwin to life for its US launch. We designed the character, built the hologram and connected him to the real product—so every answer could become a live demo.

The brief
Bring Charles Darwin to the US launch.
Darwinbox wanted a mascot that could turn an enterprise software launch into something people would stop for, talk to and remember.
The constraint
A mascot wasn’t enough.
If someone asked how an HR manager would use Darwinbox, Darwin had to open the real interface and walk them through it — live, in character, as a hologram. The illusion only worked if the product demo worked.
THE CHARACTER
We designed Darwin, then gave him a personality.
The brief started with a name. We built a stylised Charles Darwin from scratch — proportions, face, clothing, expressions and movement — then rigged him so he could listen, react, speak and feel alive rather than play a canned animation.
FROM ZERO TO MASCOT
Character design, 3D modelling, rigging and expressive animation.
THE HOLOGRAM
A tiny Darwin with real presence.
We translated the character into a miniature holographic format built for the event floor. The scale made him charming; real-time voice, lip-sync and responsive movement made people suspend disbelief.

THE LIVE DEMO
He didn’t just explain Darwinbox. He operated it.
Ask Darwin to show how an HR manager would perform a task and he could launch the Darwinbox interface, navigate to the right workflow and narrate the experience as he went. The hologram and the software behaved as one demo.
