The brief
Handicraft gets displayed. It doesn’t get used.
Indian craft traditions sit on shelves as ornament. We wanted a piece people would reach for every day, and would keep because it sounds as good as it looks.
The constraint
Craft could not become decoration.
The form had to preserve the character of Indian craft while behaving like a serious everyday speaker — acoustically credible, manufacturable and easy to live with.
THE SOUND
Sixty watts, from a handmade shell.
A 4.4-inch subwoofer, a 1-inch tweeter and a 20mm port. Handmade shells vary; acoustic performance depends on precision, so every unit is individually made and individually tuned.

THE BUILD
Craft made every shell different. Calibration made every speaker consistent.

Expert craftspeople made every enclosure by hand, giving each speaker its own surface and character.
Acoustics
A 4.4-inch subwoofer, 1-inch tweeter and 20mm port were engineered as one compact system.
Calibration
Every finished speaker was tuned individually, so variation in the shell never became variation in sound.
